Table
H 28.75" W18.75" D52", open 67"x52"
This magnificent chippendale ball and claw footed gate
leg dining table was made briefly by Kittinger in the
late 1930s. The original antique was used at that time
as the dining table in the Governor's Palace at Colonial
Williamsburg. Since this table was probably not reproduced
for more than one year very few of this piece could
have been made...probably no more than one run of 50.
This particular table is in excellent condition. The
carving of the ball and claw feet and shells is very
well done. The burned in hallmark of the Williamsburg
Foundation is indicative of the late 1930s and is the
earliest of the Williamsburg Marks. This unique, rare,
Williamsburg reproduction would be a wise investment
and a beautiful addition to any home. |
