Card Table
This wonderful card table was one of the original furniture reproductions made by Kittinger for Colonial Williamsburg in 1937. The table was so popular that it was still being made in 1989. The table is a reproduction of a Newport, Rhode Island original made circa 1770 and copies exactly the chisel gouges, cove molding, straight legs and folding top of the original. Interesting construction features include the unusual shape of the top and apron; hand carved moldings and the jig-sawn fret-work corner brackets; hand made wood hinge on the back leg support. The table is very attractive with the folding top raised against a wall.
