Mahogany

This very rare and beautifully hand carved table is thoughtfully designed and considered a "furniture jewel". It was from the early years of the Kittinger/Williamsburg relationship.

It appeared on the cover of the first Williamsburg Craft House Catalog in 1937. Made of grained mahogany, with a dish top that is expertly mounted on a uniquely threaded post.

The tripod base is decorated with acanthus leaf carvings on the legs and rests on three diminutive ball and claw feet.
